The PROFESSIONAL CHOREOGRAPHIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECT has been developed as a joint venture between Kinitiras Choreography Lab and the DEREE- Dance Area to bring to Greece high quality opportunities for professional development in dance as are available in other parts of Europe (The Place Choreodrome, National Dance House Residencies in FR for example.) The partnership acknowledges that in the current financial situation many Greek dance artists are finding it difficult, if not almost impossible, to develop professionally; opportunities to go abroad are becoming harder to consider. Therefore Kinitiras Choreography Lab and the DEREE- Dance Area-have taken on board the mission to establish a strong partnership to bring to Greece quality professional development opportunities for dance artists through the provision of the most important resource for dance – space and facilities.
